ISLAMABAD: Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif expressed his gratitude to and “Profound thanks” to the United States President Donald Trump for his role in finalizing the trade deal between Pakistan and the US.
The PM termed it a “historic” moment in the bilateral relationship.
The prime minister wrote in a post on his X (formerly Twitter) handle, “I wish to convey my profound thanks to President Trump for his leadership role in the finalization of the historic US-Pakistan trade agreement, successfully concluded by our two sides in Washington last night. This landmark deal will enhance our growing cooperation so as to expand the frontiers of our enduring partnership in days to come.”

Earlier, United States President Donald Trump has announced that the trade agreement between the two countries,
Pakistan and the USA have been completed, through his post on Truth Social.
In his statement on social media, President Trump said that the trade deal with Pakistan has been finalized and now the two countries will work together to develop the energy sector, especially oil facilities.
President Trump said that we are currently in the process of selecting an oil company that will lead this partnership.
He gave a glimpse of the future and said that one day, Pakistan may be seen selling oil to India.
