ISLAMABAD: In a recent development, the Islamabad administration has blocked all the roads leading to the Adiala Jail. The routes have been entirely blocked by police and local authorities in preparation for the Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf’s (PTI) demonstration.
The major road leading to the jail has reportedly been closed to all traffic, preventing access to the facility. Residents in the neighborhood have experienced severe inconvenience as a result of the heavy police presence and containers positioned at strategic locations along Adiala Jail Road.
While talking to the media, the police officials stated that no demonstration would be allowed within the jurisdiction of the Federal capital, especially near Adiala Jail.
Notably, the administration has closed several roads in Rawalpindi and the federal capital as part of security precautions after the PTI called for a march towards Islamabad today.
