PTI lawyers absent as ATC hears Imran Khan, Shaukat Khanum petitions

ISLAMABAD: No PTI lawyer appeared in the Rawalpindi Anti-Terrorism Court in the hearing of two petitions related to meeting with Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf founder Imran Khan and de-freezing the account of Shaukat Khanum Hospital.

The Rawalpindi Anti-Terrorism Court heard two petitions related to meeting with the PTI founder and de-freezing the account of Shaukat Khanum Hospital.

Aleema Khan and Salman Akram Raja had filed two petitions for early hearing yesterday. The court had issued notices to the parties for today, but none of the PTI founder’s lawyers appeared in the court.

ATC Judge Amjad Ali Shah and the prosecution team were waiting for the PT lawyers. Special Prosecutor Zaheer Shah said that none of the PTI founder’s lawyers appeared in the court, propaganda is done on social media, no one appears in the court.

He said that two petitions were filed yesterday, notices were issued yesterday but PTI lawyers are absent, if they are not appearing in the court, then why are the petitions filed?

The court adjourned the hearing of both the petitions of Aleema Khan and Salman Akram Raja until December 1.
