LAHORE: The Lahore district administration has decided to issue no objection certificate (NOC) to Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) for the Lahore rally while complying with the standard operating procedures (SOPs).
According to the sources, the district administration is deliberating on the PTI’s request to organize its rally at Minar-e-Pakistan, the spokesperson added. PTI is likely to be given permission to hold its rally at Cattle Market Kahna.
The development came after Deputy Commissioner Lahore presided over the District Intelligence Committee meeting where the security report and the situation happened after PTI’s Sangjani rally were reviewed.
In a separate development, Lahore police have sealed the Minar-e-Pakistan and adjacent Greater Iqbal Park ahead of the PTI public gathering. Police have also initiated a crackdown against PTI leaders arresting over 100 party workers.

Earlier today, the Lahore High Court (LHC) directed PTI to submit a request to the deputy commissioner Lahore for holding the rally in the provincial capital while ordering the latter to decide on it by 5 pm today.
