KPK: Khyber Pakhtunkhwa (KP) Minister for Works and Communications Shakeel Ahmed Khan has resigned, citing widespread corruption within the provincial government.
Shakeel Ahmed Khan, a PTI MPA, submitted his resignation to Chief Minister Ali Amin Gandapur, expressing his dissatisfaction with the current administration.
Moreover, in his resignation letter, MPA stated that he could no longer tolerate corruption and felt compelled to resign. He has indicated that he will disclose further details about his decision during a KP Assembly session.
Previously, Shakeel Ahmed accused the chief minister of interfering with his ministry and obstructing his work due to pervasive corruption and mismanagement in the province.
In response, the KP government noted that a PTI founder Imran Khan committee had already recommended Shakeel Khan’s dismissal. A summary of his removal has been submitted to the KP governor.
This decision came after Shakeel Ahmed reported embezzlement issues across various KP departments during a meeting with Khan in jail.
