Public holiday on September 11 for Quaid e Azam’s death anniversary?

ISLAMABAD: The 76th death anniversary of Quaid-e-Azam Muhammad Ali Jinnah will be celebrated on Wednesday, September 11.

The government has not announced any public holiday on the occasion of Quaid-e-Azam’s death anniversary on September 11.

The government has the power to declare a public holiday on this day, but it is not possible to do so.

According to the public holiday circular issued by the government for 2024, this day is not included in the list of public holidays.

This day is traditionally celebrated with recitation of Quran and recitation of Fateha at Mazar-e-Quaid in Karachi. On this occasion, Radio Pakistan and Pakistan Television aired special programs to pay tribute to Quaid-e-Azam’s extraordinary role for the freedom of Pakistan.

Quaid-e-Azam Muhammad Ali Jinnah died on this day in 1948, shortly after leading the nation to independence.
