Punjab bans mechanical rides for Eid-ul-Adha 2025

LAHORE: The Punjab government, in order to ensure the safety of families, has imposed a ban on all temporary mechanical rides during the Eid-ul-Adha holidays.

According to a spokesperson for the Punjab home department, only mechanical rides that are permanently set up in parks may operate during these holidays as long as the rides possess a valid fitness certificate.

Earlier, the Punjab government imposed section 144 to ensure public safety on the occasion of Eid-ul-Adha. Under this, the residents are advised to avoid showcasing arms and guns, whereas swimming and disposing of animal waste in water, canals is strictly prohibited.
