LAHORE: The Chief Minister of Punjab has launched a unique project to provide free vegetables to the citizens suffering from inflation.
On the instructions of Chief Minister of Punjab Maryam Nawaz, a unique project called “Not Cheap Vegetables, Free Vegetables, Sanjhi Sabzi” has been launched for the citizens suffering from inflation.
This project has been launched in Muzaffargarh district, where cultivation of seasonal vegetables has been started for the public on urban government buildings and rural lands.
In total, vegetables are being grown for the public on 140 plots of 139 kanals and the people of the area have also started getting free vegetables as per their needs.
The “Sanjhi Sabzi” project was launched from a village of the Christian community in Muzaffargarh, after which people started cultivating vegetables for others voluntarily.
Punjab Chief Minister Maryam Nawaz has described the “Sanjhi Sabzi” project as exemplary for the people and has directed all Deputy Commissioners to start the “Sanjhi Sabzi” project.
DC Muzaffargarh Muhammad Usman Tahir Jappa met the Chief Minister in which Maryam Nawaz praised the DC’s public welfare initiative and awarded him the Chief Minister’s Merit Badge and a cash prize of Rs. 100,000.
