LAHORE: The Punjab government has launched the first phase of the Chief Minister’s Youth Initiative, under which 20,000 motorcycles will be provided to students of degree colleges and universities.
Students will get 19,000 petrol bikes and 1,000 electric bikes under interest-free schemes. The Punjab government will give a subsidy of one billion rupees for interest-free motorcycles.
The last date to apply for Punjab Motorcycle Scheme is 29th April and students can apply by clicking on the following link.
Bikes financing limit
Financing under the scheme is limited to Rs 250,000 for electric bikes and Rs 150,000 for petrol bikes.
If a student opts for a bike in excess of the above prices, he/she will have to pay the additional cost of the bike to the BOP first, after being declared successful by the BOP. The Punjab Government will not charge more than the price mentioned above. The bike has to be selected from the options available on the web portal only.
