Rising flour prices make life difficult for Hyderabad residents

Official flour prices revised in Karachi

HYDERABAD: The continuously increasing price of flour in the city of Hyderabad in Sindh has also made life difficult for the citizens, while flour in Karachi has broken all records of inflation.

ARY News correspondent Nasir Hassan Khan from Hyderabad has reported that the prices of wheat and flour in the city are continuously increasing, due to which the citizens are in deep distress, as no steps are being taken at the administrative level to protect the consumers.

The citizens of Hyderabad are forced to buy flour at higher prices due to hoarding, during the already extremely high level of inflation, and this continuous increase in the prices of wheat and flour in the province of Sindh has increased to an alarming extent.

According to the report, illegal hoarding of flour continues in the province, against which immediate and effective action and stopping this uncontrolled increase in prices have become inevitable, while wheat import is also necessary.

Flour in the city has reached Rs 145 per kg, which has made it difficult for the common man to get bread, inflation has severely affected the purchasing power of the people. Sources say that an artificial crisis has arisen due to non-fulfillment of the targets of the food department and hoarding.
