ISLAMABAD: The Supreme Court has decided to pronounce a reserved verdict on the review petition filed by the founder of PTI against the decision to terminate the right of defense in the defamation case filed by Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif against former Prime Minister Imran Khan on June 11.
According to the cause list issued by the Supreme Court, a 3-member bench headed by Justice Ayesha Malik will pronounce a reserved verdict on the review petition.
This review petition was filed by the founder of PTI, Imran Khan, against the decision in which his right of defense was terminated in the defamation case.
The Supreme Court had reserved the verdict after the completion of the arguments of the parties, which will now be pronounced on June 11.
It should be noted that this case is related to the defamation claim filed by Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif against the founder of PTI, Imran Khan.
PTI founder Imran Khan had filed a review petition in the Supreme Court challenging the decision to waive the right to defend himself during the trial.
After the hearing on this petition was completed, the court had reserved the verdict, which has now been fixed for June 11.
According to the cause list issued by the Supreme Court, a three-member bench headed by Justice Ayesha Malik will announce the reserved verdict.
