ISLAMABAD: The Supreme Court has issued notices to the Punjab government on 8 appeals for Imran Khan’s bail in the May 9 cases.
A 3-member bench headed by Chief Justice Yahya Afridi in the Supreme Court heard 8 appeals of Imran Khan in which the councils appeared in the court.
During the hearing, Chief Justice Yahya Afridi said that findings have been given in the bail application; whether the finding in the bail decision is correct or not, it should not be touched at this time, and we will not go into legal matters at this time.
The Chief Justice said that if we touch on the legal findings now, the case for one of them may be affected. Today, we are issuing notices to the parties.
Justice Yahya Afridi asked whether final observations can be given in the bail case? The lawyers of both sides should assist on legal questions and the lawyers should prepare on legal issues by the next hearing.
Later, the court issued notice to the Punjab government on 8 bail appeals and adjourned the further hearing of the case until August 19.
