Security forces killed six militants in foiled infiltration bid from Afghan Border

Public stands united behind Pak Army amid Taliban aggression on Afghan Border

RAWALPINDI: The Pakistani armed forces are standing firm against the Tehreek-e-Taliban Pakistan (TTP), also known as Khawarij, which continues to infiltrate across the border from Afghanistan.

The latest movement of a group of Khawarij was detected on Thursday morning, the ISPR said in a statement. A group of militants were trying to infiltrate through the Pakistan-Afghanistan border, but were confronted by security forces in the Sambaza general area of Zhob district.

The Pakistani forces effectively foiled the infiltration attempt and six Khawarij were killed while a large cache of weapons, including explosives, was recovered from the hardline militants.

Islamabad has been continuously demanding that the Taliban-led government in Afghanistan ensure effective border management along the border. The interim Afghan government is also expected to fulfill its responsibilities and deny the use of Afghan soil by the Khawarij for terrorist activities against Pakistan.

The security forces are committed to securing their borders and eradicating the scourge of terrorism from the country.
