ISLAMABAD The price of petrol is expected to drop by Rs10 to Rs13 per litre tonight, which is a significant development that will affect the price of petrol in Pakistan today.
The main cause of this notable shift is the sharp decline in oil prices over the last two weeks on a worldwide scale.
As per the regular procedure of the government, which modifies new prices for both petrol and diesel every two weeks, the petrol rate in Pakistan is being reviewed today.
This review considers the rupee exchange rate as well as global market trends. Should the possibility materialize, gas stations all throughout the nation may experience a notable increase in traffic right away.
The most recent operations of the oil industry point to a clear indication of a decline in the cost of all petroleum products.
The oil industry projects a reduction of Rs13.10 per litre for petrol and Rs13.66 per litre for diesel, taking into account the current rates of petroleum levy and general sales tax. As a result, it is anticipated that the current petrol rate will decrease from Rs281.34 per litre to Rs268.24 per litre.
In a similar vein, High-Speed Diesel (HSD) is anticipated to drop in price from its current Rs289.71 per litre to Rs276.05 per litre.
