Three-day curfew imposed in lower South Waziristan

Four terrorists killed in security forces operation in Kalat

PESHAWAR: A three-day curfew has been imposed in areas of Lower South Waziristan due to the movement of security forces.

According to reports, curfew has been imposed in Sangha and Anzar Chin areas of Tehsil Shakai of Lower South Waziristan.

Deputy Commissioner Lower South Waziristan Nasir Khan has issued a notification in this regard, which states that the curfew will be imposed from 5 am to 6 pm for three days in view of the movement of security forces.

The implementation of the curfew will start tomorrow, December 1, while there will be a complete ban on going out.

Deputy Commissioner Nasir Khan has appealed to the people of Tehsil Shakai to cooperate with security forces.

Five militants were killed and four Pakistani soldiers were martyred in a fierce clash earlier this month.

The exchange of fire took place in the Karama area, where security forces engaged the heavily armed militants. The effective retaliatory action by the Pakistani troops resulted in the killing of five terrorists, whom the Inter-Services Public Relations (ISPR) has termed as Khawarij.

The ISPR has identified the martyred soldiers as Naib Subedar Tayyab Shah (38, District Tank), Lance Naik Gulab Zaman (30, District Karak), Lance Naik Muzammil Mahmood (30, District Karak) and Lance Naik Habibullah (28, District Orakzai). They bravely laid down their lives defending their country.
