TIRAH: Three Pakistan Army soldiers embraced martyrdom while eliminating three Khawarij terrorists in three different intelligence-based operations (IBOs) operation in Tirah Valley of Khyber District on Friday.
According to the Inter-Services Public Relations (ISPR) press release, fire exchanges took place between security forces and the Khawarij which resulted in the killing of four Khwarij militants.
However, during the intense fire exchange, three brave sons of soil identified as Havildar Inam Gul (age: 37 years, resident of District Mianwali), Sepoy Muhammad Imran (age: 29 years, resident of District Tank) and Sepoy Iltaf Khan (age: 22 years, resident of District Mardan), who had fought gallantly embraced Shahadat, ISPR said in a statement.
“Sanitization operation is being conducted to eliminate any other Kharji found in the area as Security Forces of Pakistan are determined to wipe out the menace of terrorism and such sacrifices of our brave soldiers further strengthen our resolve,” the ISPR said.
Briefing the media on the country’s security situation, the military’s spokesperson revealed that so far, 23,622 intelligence-based operations (IBOs) have been conducted in the ongoing year — of which 2,045 operations were conducted in the last 15 days which resulted in the elimination of 24 terrorists.
