Train service suspended in Balochistan

Train service is Balochistan restored

QUETTA: The Jaffar Express train service has been temporarily suspended for one day in Balochistan, which affects all passengers who travel between Quetta and Peshawar.

The railway authorities confirmed that the train scheduled to depart from Quetta could not leave today, while the service from Peshawar to Quetta was stopped at Jacobabad.

Officials stated that the temporary suspension was implemented to carry out essential track maintenance, which ensures passenger safety. Sources added that the repairs are part of ongoing efforts to improve railway infrastructure in the region and prevent potential accidents.

Passengers were advised to postpone their travel or consider alternative routes during the maintenance period. Railway authorities assured the public that the Jaffar Express service will resume its regular schedule immediately after the completion of the repair work.

The move comes amid increased focus by Pakistan Railways on upgrading tracks and ensuring safe and reliable train operations across the country.
