Two new passport offices to launch within THESE NADRA facilities

Passport services

KARACHI: In a positive move, the Director General of Immigration and Passports, Mustafa Jamal Qazi, has announced the establishment of two new passport offices within National Database and Registration Authority (NADRA) mega centers in Karachi.

This will ease the congestion faced at the central passport office in Karachi. These new offices will be at the NADRA mega centers in North Nazimabad and Siemens Chowrangi (SITE)

While in Karachi recently, DG Passport discussed the new opening of offices, a major step toward better passport services in the city.

Prior, Director General Mustafa Jamal Qazi had said, “The stoppage of already pending passports and backlog has ceased within the whole of Pakistan, as a record number of 3,376,510 passports were printed since July 1.

Among them are 776,451 in normal category, 1,896,403 under the urgent category, and 703,656 under fast track category.” The director-general congratulated the entire production team with whose relentless hard work this ordering of things has been achieved.

It is now also safe to say that the citizen can collect his/her passport from the regional passport office without waiting for the notification, as the delivery indeed has been accomplished.

The issuance of passports on time would be instrumental in providing relief to all applicants, opined Mustafa Jamal Qazi. In another development, the Interior Minister, Mohsin Naqvi, formally inaugurated the newly built state-of-the-art passport and immigration headquarters along with the Islamabad Regional Passport Office, which would do better service to the citizens willing to acquire passports.

The Islamabad Regional Passport Office is now functioning 24 hours a day, 7 days a week, which makes it easier for applicants to get passport services.
