WAPDA report on rivers reservoirs

ISLAMABAD: The Water and Power Development Authority (WAPDA) has released a report on the water inflow and outflow into the rivers and water storage at major reservoirs across the country.

According to a WAPDA spokesperson, the inflow of water into the Indus River at Tarbela is 63,000 cusecs, and the outflow is 52,100 cusecs. The inflow of water into the Jhelum River at Mangla is 48,700 cusecs, and the outflow is 32,000 cusecs.

Furthermore, it was revealed that the inflow of water into the Indus River at Chashma Barrage is 76,500 cusecs and the outflow is 76,000 cusecs, while the inflow of water into the Head Marala Chenab is 27,600 cusecs and the outflow is 19,100 cusecs.

Meanwhile, the outflow of water into the Kabul River at Nowshera is 35,100 cusecs.

The spokesperson of WAPDA said that the water level in Tarbela on Thursday is 1432.04 feet and the water storage is 560,000 acre feet, while in Mangla the water level is 1132.70 feet and the water storage is 1,095,000 acre feet.

Similarly, the water level in Chashma Reservoir today is 643.80 feet and the water storage is 107,000 acre feet. The total usable water storage in Tarbela, Mangla and Chashma Reservoirs is 1,762,000 acre feet.
