KARACHI: Peshawar Zalmi captain Babar Azam has achieved another feat in the PSL as he has completed 500 runs in the Pakistan Super League 2026.
He crossed this milestone in the qualifier match against Islamabad United. With this, Babar Azam became the player to score 500 runs the most times in a single edition of the PSL.
Babar Azam has scored 500 runs for the fourth time in a PSL season.
Babar also scored 500 runs in 2024, 2023, and 2021. Muhammad Rizwan has crossed this milestone 3 times, while Fakhar Zaman and Kusal Mendis have crossed this milestone once each.
Babar Equals Fakhar Zaman’s Record
Moreover, Peshawar Zalmi captain Babar Azam also has equaled the record for scoring the most runs in a season of the Pakistan Super League (PSL). In PSL 2026, Babar Azam has scored 588 runs in 10 innings.
With this, Babar Azam equaled Fakhar Zaman’s record for scoring the most runs in a season. Fakhar Zaman scored 588 runs in 13 innings in PSL 2022.
It should be noted that Babar Azam has at least one and a maximum of 2 matches left to break Fakhar’s record.
