India pulls back from facing Pakistan yet again in WCL 2025

LONDON: India yet again pulls back from facing Pakistan in the semi-final match of the World Championship of Legends 2025.

Indian opener Shikhar Dhawan reaffirmed the team’s stance of not playing against Pakistan.

Tomorrow, the semi-final is scheduled to take place in Birmingham. Pakistan will go straight to the final if India withdraws.

Earlier, the Indian Legends team, which refused to play against the Green Shirts in the first leg of the World Championship of Legends 2025, will now face Pakistan in the semi-finals of the event.

In the crucial match of the World Championship of Legends ongoing in England on Tuesday, the Indian champions defeated the West Indies champions to qualify for the semi-finals of the tournament.

Playing first, the West Indies set a target of 145 runs for the Indian Legends in the allotted 20 overs.

India needed to complete this target within 14.1 overs so that they could qualify for the semi-finals on the basis of a better run rate.

However, a brilliant half-century by Stuart Binny led the Indin side to achieve the target in 13.2 overs for the loss of 5 wickets and also became the fourth and last team to reach the semi-finals.
