Pakistan’s long-range rifle team has once again demonstrated its extraordinary performance on the international stage, securing multiple medals at the prestigious European Long-Range Rifle Championship 2024.
Under the leadership of Lt General Ahsan Gulrez, the team delivered a stellar performance, claiming a bronze medal in the team category and an impressive 11 individual medals across various events.
Pakistan’s individual shooters also made significant strides. Among the standout performances, Pakistani shooter Mohsin Nawaz, sponsored by Austrian company Kahles Optics, has made the country proud by securing a silver medal in the Day One Aggregate and a bronze in the 1000 Yard event.
These wins mark the first time a Pakistani civilian has medaled in these categories at this level of international competition, setting historic milestones for the country.
At the same time, Mohsin Nawaz marks his 10th international long-range shooting medal, further solidifying his status as a leading figure in the long-range shooting sport. With consistent performances like these, Nawaz is steadily establishing himself as a formidable force in the world of long-range rifle shooting.
In the European F-Class Championship’s Rutland Cup, where 22 teams from nine countries competed, Team Pakistan Green secured the bronze medal, finishing with a score of 589/600 and 59 Vs.
This marked the second consecutive year that Pakistan’s team achieved a podium finish in this highly competitive event. The gold medal went to US White, scoring 591/600, followed by US Blue, who secured silver with 589/600 but a higher V-count of 59 Vs.
This year’s success at the European Championship continues Pakistan’s streak of strong performances in international long-range rifle shooting competitions.
