RAWALPINDI: The second day of the final Test of the two-match Test series between Pakistan and South Africa ended with the visiting team scoring 185 for 4 in response to Pakistan’s 333.

On the second day of the Rawalpindi Test, the entire Pakistan team was dismissed for 333 in the first innings.

In response to Pakistan’s 333, South Africa’s innings was opened by Aiden Markram and Ryan Rickleton

However, Rickleton was caught behind the wickets by Shaheen Afridi for 14 runs on a total of 22.

The second South African player to be dismissed was Aiden Markram, who scored 32 runs before falling victim to Sajid Khan.

In the closing stages of the day, Asif Afridi dismissed Tony de Zorzi for 55 and Braves for zero.

By the end of the second day’s play, South Africa had scored 185 for 4 in response to Pakistan’s 333. Tristan Stubbs was not out on 68 and Kyle Verrier was not out on 10.

South Africa needed another 148 runs to overcome Pakistan’s first innings deficit.

Pakistan’s first innings

Pakistan started their first incomplete innings on the second day of play with 259 for 5, while Saud Shakeel was on 42 and Agha Salman was on 10.

Both players took the team’s score forward, and Saud Shakeel completed his fifty; Salman Ali Agha was out for 45, while Saud Shakeel was also out for 66.

Shaheen Afridi, Sajid Khan, and Asif Afridi could not perform well and all three were bowled out by Keshav Maharaj while Nauman Ali remained unbeaten on 6 runs.

For South Africa, Keshav Maharaj showed a brilliant performance and dismissed 7 players while 2 wickets went to Simon Harmer and 1 wicket to Rabada.
