DUBAI: Pakistan’s opener batter Saim Ayub has become the world’s No. 1 T20 all-rounder in the latest International Cricket Council (ICC) T20 ranking.
Saim Ayub overtakes India’s Hardik Pandya, who has now slipped to second place.
Ayub rose four places to grab the top spot in the T20 all-rounders category.
His consistent all-around performances have now placed him ahead of Hardik Pandya, who had long held the top position.
Pakistan’s Mohammad Nawaz and Faheem Ashraf also climbed four places to secure the 13th and 35th positions, respectively.
India’s Abhishek Sharma became the first player to achieve 931 rating points in T20I batting rankings, making him the world’s No. 1 T20 batsman.
Sahibzada Farhan also made significant progress to reach the 13th position in the batting ranking, while Babar Azam and Muhammad Rizwan moved to 37th and 41st.
In the T20 bowling rankings, India’s Varun Chakaravarthy remained in the top spot.
Pakistan’s spinner Abrar Ahmed slipped three places to 7th, while Shaheen Shah Afridi climbed to 13th position.
