LAHORE: The Pakistan Super League (PSL X) edition 10 has made a new record for the most broadcast viewership with 3.4 billion live streaming views.
The PSL administration and stakeholders had a meeting in Lahore where they were briefed on several issues regarding the event.
The briefing stated that PSL 10 generated gate money worth more than Rs. 500 million.
The participants were also briefed about the viewership, averaging 8.5 during the season. Peshawar Zalmi was among the top-watched teams in the PSL.
The live streaming increased by 647 % from that of last year’s edition, where the views were about 455 million, and PSL 10 recorded the highest views with 3.4 billion
The Final of the PSL 10 was the most watched game of the event with a viewership of more than 1.4 billion. The views from the urban areas were 53 percent, and from rural areas with 47 %.
The gender difference among the viewers was 67 percent to 33 percent.
Chairman Pakistan Cricket Board, Mohsin Naqvi, said that PSL is a sign of hope and unity. The event has given us world-standard and unforgettable cricket moments, and we will make it stronger and more active on the global stage.
