DHAKA: Reports of an alleged disagreement inside Pakistan’s dressing room surfaced after the team’s defeat against Bangladesh in the first Test at the Sher-e-Bangla National Cricket Stadium.
According to the Cricket Website ESPN CRICINFO, Pakistan Test captain Shan Masood was reportedly unhappy with the performances of fast bowler Shaheen Shah Afridi and wicketkeeper-batter Mohammad Rizwan during the match.
The reports alleged that Shan Masood questioned Shaheen Afridi over a drop in bowling speed, reportedly comparing his pace in the PSL to his performance in the Test match.
However, Shaheen responded sharply to the criticism, while former captain Sarfaraz Ahmed intervened to calm the situation in the dressing room.
The reported exchange has generated widespread discussion among cricket fans on social media following Pakistan’s 104-run defeat to Bangladesh in Mirpur.
However, no official statement has been issued by the Pakistan Cricket Board or the players regarding the alleged incident.
