ISLAMABAD: Huawei has unveiled its latest mid-range smartphone, the Enjoy 70X, in China. Equipped with a large battery, advanced display features, and satellite connectivity, the Enjoy 70X aims to provide an impressive balance of performance and affordability.
Design & Display
Huawei’s Enjoy 70X features a curved 6.78-inch OLED display with FHD+ resolution and a 120Hz refresh rate, ensuring vivid colors and smooth visuals. Additionally, the display also includes an in-display fingerprint scanner for quick and secure access. A bullet-shaped notch at the top houses the 8MP front camera, adding to the phone’s clean aesthetic.
The device comes in four stylish colors: Gold Black, Snow White, Lake Blue, and Spruce Green, offering options to suit different tastes. Huawei has also added a programmable “X Button” on the side, allowing users to quickly access frequently used apps, widgets, or contacts.
Camera
The Enjoy 70X comes with a dual camera setup on the back. It includes a 50MP main camera with a 1/1.56″ RYYB sensor, for better light sensitivity and detailed images, even in low-light conditions. The secondary 2MP depth sensor helps create portrait shots with a natural bokeh effect. On the front, an 8MP camera ensures clear selfies and video calls, housed within a bullet-shaped notch for a seamless design.
Battery & Pricing
One of the standout features of the Enjoy 70X is its 6,100 mAh battery with 40W wired charging. The phone is available in multiple storage options, with prices starting at CNY 1,799 ($246) for the 128GB model and going up to CNY 2,299 ($314) for the 512GB model.
Huawei has opened reservations for the device in China via its official online store, with shipments set to begin on January 10.
Internals & Software
Under the hood, the Enjoy 70X is rumored to run on Huawei’s Kirin 8000A 5G chipset, although official confirmation is pending. Geekbench results suggest the processor features a six-core CPU paired with a Mali-G610 GPU, delivering performance on par with the Snapdragon 695. The device includes 8GB of RAM and up to 512 GB of internal storage.
On the software side, it runs HarmonyOS 4.2, offering a user-friendly interface with a host of smart features. Notably, the phone supports Beidou satellite connectivity, allowing users in China to send and receive text messages and images in areas without cellular coverage.
