Internet, mobile services restored in Quetta

PTA launches 5G spectrum auction plan in Pakistan

QUETTA: In a recent development, mobile and internet services have finally been restored in Quetta after a 20-hour long suspension due to security concerns in the wake of the by-elections.

According to the sources, the services were halted at 11 PM on Sunday to prevent any potential incidents amid law and order concerns. The suspension disrupted the internet as well as mobile operations across the area causing inconvenience to the residents.

Unofficial results have declared Ali Madad Khattak of PPP as winner with 6883 votes, followed by Nasarullah Zayrai at 4122 votes from PMAP and Usman Pirkani from JUI-F with 3731 votes.

This move, aimed to protect the public from any possible threats during the this crucial time period. People in Quetta can now breathe a sigh of relief over the restoration of mobile networks and internet services.
