PTA shares tips to prevent data overcharging

ISLAMABAD: Relief for Millions of Mobile Internet Users in Pakistan as PTA Announces Important Guidelines for Unexpected Charges on Their Mobile Data Packages.

According to recent guidelines issued by the Pakistan Telecommunication Authority (PTA) for mobile internet users in Pakistan, millions of users will now be able to avoid unnecessary charges on their mobile data packages as they unknowingly continue using their internet packages even after they have expired.

Due to this, users have to pay Pay-As-You-Go (PayG) charges on their mobile data packages, causing their mobile balance to be consumed quickly and unexpectedly, causing a lot of trouble for users.

For this reason, PTA has recently emphasized how users can activate the Balance Save / PayG Blocker feature on their mobile data packages, which is available on all networks in Pakistan.

  • Ufone: *6611#

  • Telenor: *342#

The PTA stressed that the customer has complete control over his/her mobile usage and expenses, and this step is part of the broader initiatives taken to boost transparency and protect consumer rights.

Mobile users are advised to use this facility immediately to manage their balance and avoid any unexpected deductions.
