Who uses more mobile phones in Pakistan? Study reveals shocking facts

FBR slashes customs values on used iPhones, Samsung phones, prices set to drop

ISLAMABAD: A recent report has revealed that women in Pakistan use phones and the internet 35 percent less than men.

The Asian Development Bank released a report on the topic of Pakistan’s Digital Ecosystem, which highlighted the fact that women in Pakistan lag far behind men in access to digital technology, especially mobile phones and the internet.

The report states that the vast majority of men in Pakistan have mobile phones, while a large number of women either do not have mobile phones or use phones with limited features.

Women also have less access to the internet, which deprives them of education, employment, financial services, and information.

The report also revealed that men in the family often forbid women from using mobile phones or the internet. This is why women also face more problems with digital security, harassment, or privacy.

The report also reveals that many women are not trained to use mobile phones or smartphones. Schools and training institutions are also lagging behind in providing digital education to girls.
