PESHAWAR: PDMA has issued a huge relief for the victims of North Waziristan and Khost, saying that each family will be given Rs 12,120 in cash per month, while in addition to the cash, each family will also be provided with food ration worth Rs 8,000 per month.
According to the details, the Provincial Disaster Management Authority Khyber Pakhtunkhwa has formally decided to release financial assistance worth crores of rupees for the victims of North Waziristan and Khost in the form of arrears for July and August 2025.
The letter issued by PDMA said that a total of 17,788 affected families will be provided with cash and food rations.

The letter said that Rs 718.635,200 has been released for the affected families, each family will be given Rs 12,120 in cash per month, while in addition to the cash, each family will also be provided with food ration worth Rs 8,000 per month.
These payments will be made through mobile SIMs to ensure direct and transparent transfer of funds.
The authorities have directed that the process of distribution of relief funds should be completed as soon as possible. The letter further clarified that this relief amount is reserved only for the period of July and August 2025, the undistributed amount and service charges will have to be deposited back within 60 days.
The concerned authorities have also been ordered to provide all records and audit details to the PDMA, the aim of this measure is to reduce the economic hardship of the victims and provide them with basic necessities in a timely manner.
