ISLAMABAD: The residents of Islamabad enjoyed heavy rainfall last night providing some relief from the hot weather experienced in the last few days.
According to the Pakistan Meteorological Department, the federal capital will experience mixed weather conditions for the next two days. The maximum temperatures anticipated in the city are varied up to 34 degrees Celsius whereas the lowest temperatures expected range up to 22 degrees Celsius.
Humidity levels are high up to 50%, whereas a light breeze is blowing in the southwest direction.
According to the Met Office light to moderate, rain-windstorm/thundershower is likely expected at isolated places in upper Khyber-Pakhtunkhwa, Islamabad, Pothohar region, Northeast Punjab, Kashmir, and Gilgit-Baltistan.
Isolated heavy falls/hailstorms may also occur at isolated places in upper Khyber-Pakhtunkhwa during the evening/night.
Residents are advised to carry umbrellas during the late evening hours and avoid driving for longer routes.
