KARACHI: Citizens of Karachi witnessed sunny weather in the morning whereas the temperatures drooped significantly in the evening due to cool breeze and drizzle providing relief from the recent hot and humid weather.
PMD forecasts heavy rainfall accompanied by strong winds and thunderstorms in the late evening, whereas the temperatures range between 30°C to 32 degrees Celcius during the day. Whereas the minimum temperatures anticipated at night range up to 27 degrees Celsius.
Humidity levels remained moderate, ranging from 60% to 65%, with light southwest winds blowing at speeds of 18 km/h. Air quality is expected to remain within satisfactory levels, providing relief from recent pollution concerns.
According to the Met Office, moisture-laden winds will enter the upper regions of the country from the Bay of Bengal starting today. At the same time, a western disturbance will affect the western areas.
The PMD stated that under this rain-bearing system, there is a possibility of thunderstorms and rain in Karachi and across Sindh.
The PMD indicated that this rainy spell will continue until September 4, with rain expected this evening in Islamabad, Punjab, Khyber Pakhtunkhwa, Gilgit-Baltistan, and Kashmir, as well as in Balochistan until September 4.
