ISLAMABAD: The Meteorological Department has predicted cold and dry weather in most parts of the country, while it will be extremely cold in the morning and night in the mountainous areas.
Fog and smog are likely in the plains of Punjab and Khyber Pakhtunkhwa, the lowest temperature in the country was recorded in Skardu at minus 10, while the temperature was recorded in Gilgit-Baltistan and Kalat at minus 6.
According to the Meteorological Department, there is a possibility of further decrease in night temperatures in the upper areas during the next 2 days.
The Meteorological Department has predicted rain and snowfall in the mountains with strong winds at various places in Gilgit-Baltistan, Upper Khyber Pakhtunkhwa and Kashmir from December 5.
Rain and snowfall are expected in Gilgit-Baltistan, Upper Khyber Pakhtunkhwa and Kashmir on December 6, while rain and snowfall in the mountains are expected in Gilgit-Baltistan on December 7.
