PDMA issues rain alert across Pakistan

Met Office predicts heavy rainfall across Pakistan

LAHORE: Punjab Disaster Management Authority (PDMA) has issued an alert predicting rains across the province till March 20.

According to the spokesperson, intermittent rain is expected in various districts. According to the department, rain is likely in Rawalpindi, Murree, Galiyat, Attock, Jhelum, Chakwal, Talagang, and Gujranwala.

Similarly, rain is also expected in Hafizabad, Wazirabad, Sargodha, Mianwali, Sheikhupura, Gujrat, and Khushab. Rain has also been predicted in Lahore, Mandi Bahauddin, Sialkot, Faisalabad, Jhang, and Chiniot.

Furthermore, rain has been predicted in Bhakkar, Layyah, Dera Ghazi Khan, and Multan for tomorrow and March 19, while Kot Addu, Bahawalpur, Bahawalnagar, and Rahim Yar Khan may also be affected by the expected rains. Rains have also been predicted in Khyber Pakhtunkhwa till March 20.

PDMA has directed citizens to take precautionary measures and avoid unnecessary travel. The Meteorological Department has predicted thundershowers and hailstorms in Karachi on Wednesday and Thursday.
