ISLAMABAD: The Meteorological Department has predicted hot and humid weather in most parts of the country today, while intense heat is expected in the plains during the day.
However, during the evening and night, there is a possibility of wind, thundershowers, hail, or heavy rain at some places in Kashmir, upper Khyber Pakhtunkhwa, northeast Punjab, and the Potohar region.
The federal capital, Islamabad, and its surroundings will experience hot and humid weather during the day, while there is a possibility of partly cloudy weather after noon and rain with wind and thundershowers during the evening or night.
Hot and humid weather is also expected in most districts of Punjab, however, in the evening and night hours, rain with gusty winds and thunderstorms is expected at a few places in Murree, Galiyat, Rawalpindi, Jhelum, Attock, Chakwal, Mandi Bahauddin, Hafizabad, Gujrat, Gujranwala, Faisalabad, Lahore, Kasur, Okara, Sheikhupura, Sialkot, Narowal, Sargodha, Khushab, Mianwali, and adjoining areas.
Hot and humid weather will also persist in most districts of Khyber Pakhtunkhwa, however, rain and thunderstorms are likely to occur at isolated places in Chitral, Dir, Swat, Buner, Abbottabad, Mansehra, Kohistan, Shangla, Battagram, Kurram, Kohat, Hangu, Orakzai and adjoining areas.
Extremely hot and humid weather is predicted to persist in most districts of Sindh, while the weather in coastal areas may remain partly cloudy.
The weather will remain extremely hot and dry in most districts of Balochistan, however, partly cloudy weather is expected in the coastal areas.
Thunderstorms and heavy rain are expected at a few places in Azad Kashmir during the evening and night, while Gilgit-Baltistan is expected to remain partly cloudy.
