Rain thunderstorms Pakistan forecast has been issued by the Pakistan Meteorological Department ahead of the upcoming Eid holidays. The weather department said a new westerly system will enter the country on the evening of March 17.
Officials said the system will first affect western regions. It will spread across many parts of Pakistan by March 18 and is expected to weaken around March 20.

Rain Expected in Balochistan First

Khyber Pakhtunkhwa to Receive Rain and Snowfall

Punjab and Islamabad Weather Outlook

The forecast says rainfall may continue from the night of March 17 until the morning of March 20. Southern Punjab cities such as Multan, Bahawalpur, Dera Ghazi Khan and Rahim Yar Khan may receive rain on March 18 and 19.
Rain and Snow in Gilgit Baltistan and Kashmir
Gilgit-Baltistan and Azad Jammu and Kashmir are expected to experience cloudy weather with rain and thunderstorms. Higher areas may receive snowfall.
The Rain thunderstorms Pakistan forecast indicates stronger rain spells in places such as Hunza, Gilgit, Skardu, Diamir, Muzaffarabad and Neelum Valley.
Sindh May Receive Rain on March 18–19
The weather department said Sindh could also experience cloudy weather with rainfall. Karachi, Hyderabad, Sukkur, Larkana, Jacobabad and Thatta may see rain and occasional thunderstorms on March 18 and 19.
PMD Issues Safety Advice
The Met Office warned that people living in mountainous areas of Khyber Pakhtunkhwa, Gilgit-Baltistan and Azad Kashmir should remain careful due to possible landslides.
Lightning may occur during thunderstorms. Residents are advised to stay indoors during heavy rain.
Farmers were also advised to protect crops, as hailstorms in some areas may damage standing crops.
Authorities said government departments have been alerted. Travelers planning Eid journeys should monitor the Rain thunderstorms Pakistan forecast and avoid unnecessary travel during heavy rainfall.
