Islamabad to be divided into three town corporations

ISLAMABAD: The residents of the federal capital, Islamabad, have been experiencing hot and humid weather for the last week, making the days warmer; however, as October passes by, the nights have become colder, which shows that winter is just lingering around the corner.

According to the Pakistan Meteorological Department (PMD), Continental air is prevailing over most parts of the country. A shallow westerly through is also prevailing over the extreme northern parts of the country.

The residents of the twin cities are eagerly waiting for rain; however, unfortunately, according to the met office, there is little to no chance of rain during the next three days.

Dry weather is expected over most parts of the country, while cold in hilly areas during morning/night hours. Due to the persistent dry weather and atmospheric pollution, the districts of eastern Punjab are likely to remain under the influence of smog. Citizens are advised to take precautionary measures
