Congress promises to restore Jammu & Kashmir’s special status if elected

NEW DELHI: India’s opposition party, Congress, has promised to restore the lost rights of Kashmir, saying that Kashmir has become a graveyard of dreams under Modi’s regime.

According to Indian media, Congress leader Pawan Khera while talking about the Kashmir policy said that no one listens to the plight of the oppressed and helpless Kashmiris.

He expressed these views on the occasion of the commencement of election campaign for the elections to be held in Jammu and Kashmir next week.

The Congress leader further said that in 2019, India abolished the special status of Kashmir and took full control.

Pawan Khera further said that Occupied Kashmir has become a state whose rights have been taken away and it has been converted into a Centrally Administered Territory.

He also said that since the abrogation of Article 370, Modi has imposed repressive politics on Occupied Kashmir. Restoring the independence of Kashmir is very important.

Congress leader Pawan Khera promised to ensure restoration of statehood to Jammu and Kashmir.
