NEW YORK: Judge Frank Caprio, a world-renowned philanthropist and beloved by all Americans, has died at the age of 88.
The Rhode Island Municipal Court Chief Judge had been battling cancer for two years. A day before his death, he appealed to his loved ones from his deathbed in the hospital to pray for him.

His services were featured for years on the Emmy Award-nominated show Caught in Providence, in which he was known as one of the best judges in the world for his humanitarian decisions.
