Hazrat Maulana Syed Salman Hussaini Nadvi passes away
LUCKNOW: Eminent religious scholar of the subcontinent, renowned Islamic scholar, writer and former teacher of Darul Uloom Nadwat Ulema Lucknow, Hazrat Maulana Syed Salman Hussaini Nadvi has passed away.
The news of the demise of Hazrat Maulana Syed Salman Hussaini Nadvi has sent a wave of deep grief and sorrow in the academic, religious and religious circles in the country and abroad.
According to family sources, Hazrat Maulana’s funeral prayers will be offered today after Asr prayers at Jamia Syed Ahmed Shaheed, Katoli, Malihabad, after which he will be buried there.
Hazrat Maulana Syed Salman Hussaini Nadvi was born in Lucknow, Uttar Pradesh in 1952. He was considered one of the prominent experts in the science of Hadith, Tafsir and Dawat-e-Islami. He served as a teacher of Hadith and Tafsir at Darul Uloom Nadwat Ulema for a long time and later served as the Dean of the Faculty of Dawa.
He delivered academic and da’wah speeches in various countries including India and left behind several important academic and research works. Hazrat Maulana was also associated with various religious and educational institutions. He was the President of Jamiat Shababul Islam, Chancellor of Darul Uloom Syed Ahmed Shaheed and Chairman of Dr. Abdul Ali Unani Medical College.
Hazrat Maulana belonged to a prominent academic and religious family of the subcontinent. He belonged to the family of the great Islamic thinker and renowned religious scholar Hazrat Maulana Syed Abul Hasan Ali Hasani Nadvi (Ali Mian).
With the demise of Hazrat Maulana Syed Salman Hussaini Nadvi, the religious and academic world has lost a high-ranking scholar, planner, researcher and reformer. His academic, da’wah and educational services will always be remembered with great respect.
