RIYADH: Saudi Arabia’s Ministry of Hajj and Umrah has introduced a new regulation for the 2025 Hajj season, prohibiting children from accompanying pilgrims to ensure their safety and well-being amidst the large crowds.
Such a provision aims to avert any potential harm to the children during the pilgrimage. As in previous years, priority will be accorded to people who have not performed the Hajj.
Registration for Saudi citizens and residents is open via the Nusuk app and the official online portal.
To register, pilgrims are also required to enter their details, add companions, and submit exemption requests that include accompanying mahrams.
The ministry has launched an installment scheme for domestic pilgrims whereby the Hajj package prices can be paid in three installments: 20 percent within 72 hours of booking, 40 percent by 20 Ramadan, and 40 percent by 20 Shawwal.
Confirmations will be given once the last payment has been received, and each installment will have its invoice.
The ministry has taken note of the early prerequisite preparation required for package sales. Early selling of Hajj packages commenced on the Nusuk platform.
Pilgrims are advised to configure their preferred packages, top up their electronic wallets, and finalize their selections early to develop a hassle-free and smooth journey toward Hajj.
