US threatens to hit Iran’s energy sites amid tensions

US Journalist reveal no deal yet to end US-Iran war

WASHINGTON: US President Donald Trump has warned that if Iran does not immediately improve the situation, the US will not hesitate to target its key energy centers.

President Trump has said that the US is currently negotiating with Iran under a new and more reasonable leader to end military operations and that some progress has been made. However, the president warned that if a deal is not reached soon and the Strait of Hormuz is not opened to commercial shipping, the US could completely destroy Iran’s key energy centers, including power plants, oil wells and the Kharg Island.

President Trump added that this move would be in retaliation for the deaths of US soldiers and other civilians during the 47-year rule of the previous Iranian government.

He clarified that such centers have not been damaged yet, but water desalination plants can also be targeted if necessary.

This warning from the United States is also important because the Strait of Hormuz is a very sensitive route for global oil transportation and its immediate opening or closing has direct effects on the global energy market.

President Trump said in his message that “I would like this matter to be resolved through negotiations, but if the situation does not change, we will have to take strong action.”
