ISLAMABAD: The federal government has started assessing withholding tax on vehicles, including the Honda City, based on the invoice price instead of charging a fixed amount based on engine capacity.
The policy change was introduced by the government in the budget for the financial year 2024-25, a move that has increased the prices of Honda City and other vehicles in the country.

Honda City in Pakistan 2024

Honda City New Prices in Pakistan From July 2024
The ex-factory price of Honda City 1.2LS MT stands at 4,649,000, Honda CityLS CVT Rs4,689,000, Honda City 1.5LS CVT Rs5,439,000 and City Aspire 1.5 LAC CVT’s ex-factory price stands at Rs5,849,000.
Previously, the government collected following fixed withholding tax on the basis of the engine capacity:

As the policy has been changed, the government now collects withholding tax based on the invoice value. It collects 1.5% WHT from filers and 4.5% from non-filers on vehicles with engine capacity of 1001 to 1300cc. It collects 2% WHT from filers and 6% WHT from non-filers on vehicles with engine capacity from 1301 to 1600cc. does.
