Chicken prices fluctuate in Punjab different cities, remain stable in Lahore

Chicken prices surge ahead of Eid-ul-Fitr in Karachi

LAHORE: The price of chicken has fluctuated in different cities, becoming expensive in some places and cheaper in others.

The price of chicken has been maintained in Lahore, and the official price list states that chicken meat is at Rs 595 per kg.

In Lahore, the wholesale rate of live broilers is Rs 397, and the retail rate is Rs 411 per kg, while the price of eggs per dozen remains at Rs 239.

In Multan, the price of live broiler chicken has decreased by Rs 4, with the wholesale rate of live broilers set at Rs 388 while the retail rate is Rs 402. The price of eggs has decreased by another Rs 3, with a dozen eggs costing Rs 225.

In Faisalabad, the price of live chicken has increased by Rs 3, with the wholesale rate of live broilers at Rs 389 per kg while the retail rate has increased to Rs 403 per kg. The price of meat has increased by Rs 4, with the price increasing by Rs 584 per kg.

Broiler Meat (per kilogram) sold in retail: Rs. 588
Eggs from farms (per packet): Rs. 7050
These prices reflect the current market rates in the poultry industry.
