Gold prices decrease Rs1,800 per tola in Pakistan

Gold prices decline in Pakistan amid market volatility

ISLAMABAD: Gold prices took a notable dip across Pakistan on Monday, reflecting a broader decline in international rates.

According to the latest data released by the All Pakistan Sarafa Gems and Jewellers Association, the price of 24-karat gold per tola fell by Rs. 1,800, now standing at Rs. 338,800.

Similarly, the price of 10 grams of 24-karat gold saw a decline of Rs. 10. 1,543, settling at Rs. 290,466, while the price of 10 grams of 22-karat gold fell by Rs. 1,423, now standing at Rs. 266,261.

This local decline follows a global downturn, with international gold prices falling by $18, bringing the current rate to $3,218 per ounce.

On the other hand, silver prices remained unchanged, providing some relief to the market. The price of a tola of 24-karat silver remained stable at Rs. 3,234, while 10 grams remained at Rs. 2,772. International silver also showed no movement, settling at $31.30 per ounce.

Analysts believe that the market is keeping a close eye on global cues, especially from the US Federal Reserve and geopolitical tensions, which continue to affect investor sentiment towards precious metals.
