GWADAR: In the border and coastal areas of Gwadar district of Balochistan, the price of Iranian petrol has increased by 30 to 40 rupees per liter.
According to reports, Iranian oil comes to Gwadar by sea from the Kantani Hor area in the Jiwani area bordering Iran.
Earlier, Iranian petrol was being sold in Gwadar for 170 to 180 rupees per liter, but after the reports of the closure of Kantani Hor, the price per liter reached 200 to 210 rupees.
On the other hand, after the increase in crude oil prices in the global market, the government is indicating the possibility of a further increase in petrol and diesel prices this week.
According to the World Trade Report, British crude oil Brent is being sold at $ 107 per barrel, while American crude oil is being sold at $ 101 per barrel.
Oil prices continue to rise due to global supply shortages and geopolitical tensions, which directly affect countries like Pakistan that rely on imported fuel.
The government’s review on Friday is likely to see further price increases, which could further increase the cost of transport and essential commodities.
Experts estimate that a hike of at least Rs 10 will be announced in the price of petrol in Pakistan due to the increase in oil prices in the global market.
