Pakistan allows Iran transit trade under ‘Transit Order 2026

ISLAMABAD: Pakistan has taken a major step to promote trade cooperation with Iran by issuing the ‘Transit Order 2026’, under which Iran has been allowed to conduct transit trade with other countries via Pakistan.

According to a notification issued by the Ministry of Commerce, under the new policy, goods coming to or leaving Iran from any third country can be transported through Pakistan. This move is being described as a major step towards promoting trade in the region and improving the logistics system.

The government has also set specific routes for this transit trade so that the delivery of goods can be organized, safe and effective. According to officials, this system will not only increase Pakistan’s trade activities but will also strengthen economic ties in the region.

Trade experts say that this decision will further strengthen Pakistan as a regional trade corridor and will lead to expansion of economic relations with other countries including Iran.
