Pakistan’s trade deficit increases 44% to $2.75 billion in July

ISLAMABAD: Pakistan recorded a trade deficit of $2.75 billion during July 2025, which is 44% higher than the deficit of $1.90 billion in the same month last year.

On a month-on-month basis, the trade deficit increased by 16% compared to the deficit of $2.372 billion in June 2025.

Exports during July 2025 increased by 16.9% year-on-year and 8.9% month-on-month to reach $2.69 billion.

Imports during the month increased by 29.2% year-on-year and 12.4% month-on-month to reach $5.4 billion.
