LAHORE: The District Education Authority in Lahore has taken disciplinary action against 56 teachers for their unexplained absence during the recent supplementary board exams.
An inquiry revealed that these teachers intentionally avoided their duties, leading to significant administrative lapses and disruptions at exam centers.
Their absence caused delays, made it challenging to prevent cheating, and compromised the exam environment, ultimately affecting students who were re-taking their exams.
The authority has decided to take action against the absent teachers under the Punjab Employees Efficiency, Discipline, and Accountability (PEDA) Act.
The Punjab government is working efficiently to improve the education system in Pakistan. CM Maryam Nawaz has announced several schemes including a Laptop scheme and a green bike scheme to help facilitate students in their academic activities.
